Course Director and Tutor
Mark is an experienced counsellor, therapist, supervisor and trainer with a private counselling practice in Plymouth. He has been delivering counselling qualification courses since 2008 and has been teaching personal development for over 15 years. He is passionate about counselling and teaching and teaches in a way that makes learning accessible to everyone.
Mark is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Assistant Course Director and Co-Tutor Levels 4 & 5
Jo is an integrative counsellor, therapist and supervisor working in private practice. She has been teaching with the hub since 2016 and is trained to facilitate groups.
She has a great deal of knowledge and wisdom to share, based on her extensive research and understanding of working in the field of therapy. Students regularly report that her invaluable insights have helped them enormously during their training.
She is committed ethical practice and is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Level 2 - 4 Tutor
Joyce is a qualified counsellor with a great deal of experience of delivering training for Cruse Bereavement Care. She works in private practice in Devon and enjoys a fantastic reputation for facilitating groups and workshops.
Joyce is a member of the BACP.
Level 2-4 Tutor
Jay is a counsellor in private practice in Cornwall. He has worked with addiction at Freshfields in Cornwall with recovering addicts as well as in a counselling agency in St Austell where he gained experience of working with a wide range of clients and problems. He is a registered member of BACP and teaches on our level 2 and 3 courses in Plymouth and Truro.
Co-Tutor Level 4
Kirsty is a qualified counsellor and experienced counselling tutor. She works integratively using various models and has additional specialist training in Transactional Analysis, Process Group Therapy and Working with Children and Young People. She is passionate about the importance of the Therapeutic Relationship whichever theoretical approach is employed. Kirsty is an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society.
Michelle assists with the behind the scenes admin at The Hub. She deals with enrollments, accounts and payment plans as well as generally helping to keep everything running smoothly. It may be Michelle that you speak to if you ring The Hub.
Level 2 Tutor
Nathalie is a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is an integrative counselling psychotherapist in private practice and has worked with clients in school, LGBT and addiction charity settings.
She is pleased to combine her past experience of delivering training and development as a Personnel Manager with her current counselling experience to enable others to reach their counselling goals.
Internal Quality Assurance
Chloe is a qualified counsellor and has a wealth of experience in the field of teaching. She oversees all of our courses and assesses the standard of teaching and assessment throughout the organisation. Her reports are highly acclaimed by CPCAB, our awarding body.
Independent Compaints Reviewer
Kate is an experienced trainer, therapist an supervisor. She is also our Independent Complaints Reviewer. Although we have never had to draw on her services to review a complaint, students can be assured that if they are unahppy with the outcome of our internal complaints procedure, it will be reviewed by an independent person.
